The central downtown area is the core of Hood River and is made up of zones that allow residential with some commercial and mixed-uses intertwined. This is part of what makes this section so appealing. Your home may be only blocks from fine dinning, movie theaters, shops, and the farmers market. Because it is built into the hillside rising up from the Columbia River, many homes have river views. Lots are generally small and some rely on on-street parking.
